Readers should be able to tell when Course Platforms Online may earn money from a recommendation.
When affiliate links are added
Any page containing a commission-generating link should state, near the recommendation: “We may earn a commission if you purchase through this link. This does not change our evaluation.”
The site-wide disclosure does not replace a clear disclosure near the relevant recommendation or button.
What compensation cannot buy
Compensation cannot buy a ranking, score, award, positive conclusion, removal of a drawback, or suppression of a competitor.
Sponsored content
Paid editorial-style content must be labeled “Advertisement” or “Sponsored” at the top, before the reader encounters promotional claims.
Provider relationships
Free accounts, discounts, travel, gifts, consulting relationships, or other material connections must be disclosed on the relevant page.
